Considering
economic inequality within the United States, I would definitely consider this
inequality to be a major issue that Americans should take seriously and try to
solve it. It not only presents potential issues within the community such as
social and political uprisings that may not be easy to be tamed but it also
harms the self-esteem of individuals and how they look and respect themselves.
Many people don’t stop to consider all the possibilities of economic situations
people may be in and how it could potentially affect someone and how they see
themselves. In Detroit, Michigan the economy and workforce it so bad currently,
houses are less than $100 because there is no value in any of the homes that
surround the major city. Not only does this display how bad the economy but
also describes a general gist of what kind of neighborhoods are young adults
and children are living in. The economic inequality allows for poor communities
to stay in poor areas, and although many higher class companies donate to the
charities to help others. The focus of where the money in these charities is a
problem that I do think Americans as a whole have to look at. In bettering
communities and cities such as Detroit, MI there is a better chance in the preventions
and building of new companies and better foster homes for bigger issues such as
children in need. Not only does it prevent the cause of violence due to
ultimate frustration of poverty, it allows the opening and operation of the
communities to flourish again and build into something new that could then be built
upon to strengthen the community all together. Although many things can be said
to help and change the community, the decisions of what is chosen to be done by
major corporations and the government are all places that the action and
attention needs to be brought to in order for change to occur.

ReplyDeleteI don’t agree that government is to blame for poverty. Although there are many negative factors and unfortunate situations that some people go through, mainly the people who are in poverty choose to be in poverty. The government actually gives us so many resources to go to a university and to gather a degree to earn a well-paying job. In rest in peace to the middle class it shows how much the middle class has suffered throughout the year of depressions and all of the presidents. What I don’t think we take into consideration yes lifestyles change throughout the years and we need to be able to adapt to these changes rather than just complaining about “what it used to be like and who suffers now” in the other article from nickled and dimed we see in the beginning the hard ships she goes through working as a maid but in my opinion that doesn’t have much to do with the government. She is very capable of earning a degree and working to find a new well-paying job
