Can We Really Determine what Pretty is?

As described in the article, pretty is the combination of beauty and innocence. Now, when you begin to think of this, who really can give pretty a definition? You can't, pretty is something determined by each and every individual, whether its the same as others, or completely different. Due to this difference in what people see pretty as, there is no real definition, but only opinion. This also brings up the issue with news and social media. The online world tries to display beauty as one thing, making unrealistic expectations for men and women. An example would be this whole "dadbod" thing. This should not be the requirement of all men because women like all sorts of body types, based on their personal interests. No one should be expected to fall into the so called "norm" of looks. This also goes for women. Women should not be expected to uphold the unrealistic "hourglass" appearance because I know plenty of guys who are not into that whole extremely skinny crap. Beauty is held in the eyes of the individual, not the mass that likes to go with the social media. Men and women alike should not try to change their appearance for the general populace, because I guarantee there are people out there who will find you attractive. Everyone has opinions, and should stick to them, lets try to stop this whole "everyone look the same trend" and be happy with who we are.

  2. I agree very much with your post. We are all different. We are all unique. Not a single soul is the same. We tend to focus more on fitting in than accepting who we are. Media has alter the minds of many by guiding us what we should wear, what we should eat, what we should do.
