The Death of Pretty/ DadBod
In the article “The Death of Pretty” by Pat Archbold describes the definition of beauty now a days. How girls are preferring the word hot over pretty or beautiful. The fact that some girls only feel happy and proud of themselves when someone calls them hot. It also brings up their confident and V. versa with the ones who don’t get the “hot” word. It is such a tragedy that girls don’t see the beauty in them unless someone tells them they do so. Our society plays a great roll in this. People don’t see the pretty anymore. Everyone wants to see the curves and the perfect body. I think that each girl is gourges in her own way and got the beauty inside her.

The article “Dadbod: A New Word for a Timeless Physique” by
Spencer Kornhaber was a very discus sable essay. I personally have never heard
of this term before but apparently it is very famous and often used now days.
This term gave men another reason to be very proud of how they look and how
people look at them while on the other hand women are the ones that has to be a
Barbie like and perfectly shaped. It gives men who don’t have the Body shape a
positive confident of themselves. This term is making a not perfectly shaped
men more accepted to society and tells them to be proud of the way they look.
Hey I totally agree with you on how these days girls prefer to be called hot more than pretty. You are right that it does help there confidence but the problem is that they need to know the importance of beauty and innocence. Beauty and innocence which adds up to equal to pretty, plays very important role in their life. It will help them find a person who is awesome from heart and who will look at her heart and innocence rather than her body.
